Hi, I'm Megan. I'm an illustrator and designer living in Brooklyn, NY.
I am a Brooklyn-based designer, illustrator, and art director with over fifteen years of experience building visual systems and telling stories. Currently operating as a Senior Visual Designer on the Design Systems team at Google, my career follows a direct evolution from analog to digital: I started as a traditional visual artist, moved into graphic design, transitioned to digital media, and eventually specialized in product design and systems. Today, my practice centers on design systems, creative direction, brand, and craft.
I grew up in New Orleans, and the city’s vibrant culture, food, colors, and weathered patina completely shape the way I see the world and create art. No matter how complex or structured my digital design work gets, I always bring it back to that sense of character, warmth, and tactile storytelling. I love physical books, I love to draw, and I've been imagining strange little characters and hidden places since I was old enough to hold a pencil.
Here is some work from age 5.
My background, distilled:
→ Google: Senior Visual Designer on the Design Systems team, focusing on art direction, visual illustration systems, and building scalable UI components.
→ CNN: 7+ years as a designer, illustrator, and art director shaping visual narratives in a fast-paced global newsroom.
→ Entrepreneurship: 10+ years running my own creative studio for media, tech, and non-profit clients.
